The Blockchain Cruise Asia Post Release

The week of January 15, 2018, many top representatives of the world crypto community have been absent from their offices. More than 600 industry professionals, recognized thought leaders, and blockchain enthusiasts from 35 different countries attended one of the major industry events of the year -The Blockchain Cruise Asia, organized by CoinsBank.

The cruise departed Singapore, made a stop in Malaysia and then headed to Thailand, where the guests enjoyed the beauty of a private beach, while listening to insightful crypto discussions by industry celebrities.

Bloomberg commented:

By the time their 1,020-foot-long ship pulled into Thailand on Wednesday, for an afternoon of bottomless drinks and crypto-focused talks on a sun-soaked private beach, Bitcoin had cratered to $10,000…. But if anyone was fazed, they didn’t show it. The party rolled on as the sangria and Red Bull flowed, Bitcoin-themed rap music blared and drones filmed it all from above.

The Blockchain Cruise gathered people of very different backgrounds: from founders of blockchain startups, crypto traders and investors to top lawyers in the field and influential political figures. This combination of expertise and experience helped to see the picture from multiple angles and maintain candid discussions.

John McAfee, the antivirus-software veteran turned Bitcoin miner, was among the headliners of the event. Between posing for selfies with attendees, he gave a talk about emerging cryptocurrencies and their influence on businesses and Bitcoin.

Ronnie Moas, another recognized speaker and a cryptocurrency enthusiast famous for his accurate Bitcoin price predictions, made a statement that Bitcoin could hit $300,000 in under seven years.

Kaspar Korjus and Taavi Roivas, government representatives from Estonia, shared their insights on launching a national cryptocurrency.

All the guests interested in crypto trading had a unique opportunity to attend the workshops by Tone Vays, who, in the matter of couple hours, explained basic tools and techniques of trading digital assets.

Travis Wright, the co-host of Bad Crypto podcast, made everyone laugh offering a free step-by-step instruction for exposing a crypto wallet hacker.

The THAI Blockchain Conference day was moderated by badass Eric Benz from CryptoFriends, who maintained high energy of the event throughout the whole day.

Frequent speaker at industry events, Susan Poole of Blockbridge advisory, moderated the day of blockchain discussions aboard the cruise ship.

Lena Kuznetsova and Oxana Kunets from Cyber Studio led one of the most popular conference section, dedicated to tokensales and blockchain investing. The moderators moved beyond the obvious and dove deeper into the tokensale phenomenon. They made their listeners smile, laugh and think.

Over four conference days, participants launched a number of partnerships and made meaningful connections. But, aside from the business part, the grander idea of blockchain industry as a tool for wealth redistribution was central in the event.

Ronnie Moas and Marco Robinson carried out a fundraising campaign for starving kids and homeless people.

We have enough in this world to satisfy everybody’s need, but everybody’s greed’ - shared his view Ronnie and many guests supported his initiative by giving generous donations.

Thank you to all of our guests, who joined us for this amazing four day trip! We are happy to see how events, like Blockchain Cruise, accelerate the growth of blockchain community and form meaningful relationships between its members. Together we can do more.
